This fun couple saw some of my photos hanging in a friend's home and after a few emails, we connected and set up tonight's engagement shoot AND they hired me to photograph their wedding this fall! Gotta love word of mouth advertising.

The weather here all day yesterday was questionable, but last night on the beach, it couldn't have been more perfect. No bugs, no wind, warm temps and big waves. Made for an awesome photo shoot with another beautiful family!

This summer I have made it a goal to take the girls to the beach at least once a week. Unlike most goals I set for myself that generally fade away within a week or two of me setting them, like keeping up with endless laundry, this beach thing has been wonderful this summer. The kids play in the water and build sandcastles with lots of new friends that are also beach regulars, while I lounge in my chair and read books and magazines supervise. It works out quite well.

She has her own pair but prefers to borrow mine. These are actually my gardening sunglasses. Not that they have special gardening powers or something fun like that, but they aren't in the best of shape anymore, so I try not to wear them anywhere but around the house.
